The above may well be the attitude of many when issues on the environment are discussed. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle can only remain as catchy slogan that has no bearing on people’s lives.
Apart from those involved in organisations dedicated to the preservation of the environment, many people have a general apathy towards such issues. This is probably because there are no immediate effects on personal lives. The consequences seem too distant to warrant any immediate concern.

WHILE it is easier to list a few good examples of do’s
and don’ts of green living but that would be akin to giving fish instead of
teaching one to fish. Hopefully by establishing the fundamental reasons and
objectives of green living, especially in the context our Catholic faith, it
will helps us to consciously examine ourselves in the choices we make and the
actions we take everyday.

environmentally-friendly, city dwellers face an uphill battle to go green amidst the grime and litter of
big city life.
Despite this, there have been efforts, both great and small, on the
part of some parishes to bring the environmental conservation message closer to
home.
